Background
Detra Wiley Pate was raised in Atlanta, Georgia by wonderful parents. She is a 56-year-old mother, sister, and wife. Detra is serving 121 months for Medicare Fraud in Federal Prison in the state of Florida.
Detra is a first-time, nonviolent, white-collar offender. Detra made mistakes and while most were unintentional, she did not run her medical billing company properly. She accepts responsibility for her actions that led to her conviction and is extremely remorseful for the harm she caused her community.
What We’re Doing
Detra has filed a clemency application and is asking President Joseph Biden to commute her sentence to time served. We’re advocating on Detra’s behalf.
